By now most of you have seen the recent photo of our great ruler with his feet propped up on that desk in the White House. Obama has been photographed numerous times, with his feet propped up on White House furniture. Yea well it bothers me too.
I remember back while working one of my first jobs as a film technician. My job was to process color print film through a very expensive cine machine. It was a very nerve racking responsibility handling hundreds of thousands of rolls of customer film and making damn sure they all passed through the chemicals without a hitch.
One night while I was sitting there with my feet propped up on the edge of this million dollar cine machine waiting for time to change the take up reel, this well dressed guy comes walking over. I had no clue he was the owner of the company. The first words out of his mouth were, “If you owned a Rolls Royce and found someone with their feet propped up on it how would that make you feel?” That’s when he introduced himself and told me his cine machine cost as much as that Rolls Royce did. I apologized and assured him that would never happen again. So with that being said I learned my lesson to respect the property of others.
Many people are bitching and moaning about Obama disrespecting the White furniture by using it as a resting place for his dirty feet. It bothers me too and I had also written about this right after he took office.
Since then, I’ve come to realize that Obama isn’t the only president guilty of this act of disrespect. I think nearly every president has been photographed doing the same thing. Listen up people, if you’re going to target Obama on something perhaps you can find something that really has some serious meaning behind it. With all of his scandals, stupid decisions and corruption we don’t need to be wasting energy on where this jerk plants his feet. This nit picking over stupid stuff does nothing positive for our cause. – JRoycroft
